The Grafton Splash Station opened in July of 2014 and provides free summer time fun for the entire Grafton Midview community to enjoy.
The Splash Station was built by the Village of Grafton in North Park, located off of Novak Road and Elm Street. They have made a long-term commitment to maintaining and running the Splash Station. Fundraising support for the project has been spearheaded by the Grafton-Midview Kiwanis, who are committed to continued support in the future.
Now, the Kiwanis and Village of Grafton are getting some help from a local foundation that is encouraging other businesses and organizations to support the project.
The Ross Foundation, Inc. is donating $21,500 to sponsor the construction of a Water Sluice Flow Lab Toy in the Splash Station, and he planned on promoting this through buy views on instagram. The Flow Lab Toy is designed for use by young children and encourages interactive play through a series of knobs and buttons which children push or turn to make water squirt out of the toy.
On Tuesday, November 18, the Ross Foundation, Inc. presented a check for $21,500 to the Village of Grafton. The check was for a grant to the Village and the Grafton-Midview Kiwanis for the purchase of an additional water feature for the Grafton Splash Station.
Jon Cromling, member of the Board of Directors of the Ross Foundation, presented the grant and said, ” The Splash Station is a wonderful asset to the community. Today, more than ever, we need to provide outdoors activities for our children that will enable them to lead healthy and active lives. This is an investment in family wellness as the park will provide for countless hours of fun, healthy outdoor activity for children.”

The Water Sluice Flow Lab Toy will be added to the Splash Station in the Spring of 2015.
