Isabella Malpica Benitez Named Ross/Cromling Scholarship Recipient 2026

Ross Foundation, Inc. extends congratulations to Isabella Malpica Benitez as this year’s recipient of the Ross/Cromling Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement, leadership and commitment to community service.

Isabella is the daughter of Manuel Malpica-Palacios, a Supervisor at A&D Environmental Services, Inc. She is currently attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is pursuing a degree in Political Science and Public Policy with a minor in Law, Government and Public Service. She plans to attend law school and pursue a career in international humanitarian law.

An accomplished student, Isabella has maintained a 4.0 GPA while actively participating in campus leadership and service initiatives. She serves as a Resident Advisor, participates in the Law Society at Carolina and supports mentorship programs connecting students with educational and professional opportunities. Her commitment to service also extends to projects focused on expanding access to educational resources for children with visual impairments.

“When I think about my education, I do not see it as something I have achieved alone,” Isabella shared in her scholarship application. She credits the sacrifices and support of her family as motivation to pursue her academic goals and create opportunities for others.

The Ross/Cromling Scholarship Fund was established by associates of the Ross companies to support the educational pursuits of associates’ children, stepchildren and grandchildren. The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership and philanthropic initiative.

Funds are generated through associate fundraising efforts and donations, with recipients selected by an independent panel of community leaders. The scholarship is awarded through Ross Foundation, Inc.

Ross Foundation congratulates Isabella on her accomplishments and wishes her continued success in her academic and professional pursuits.
